In the last months of the year 2012, Sequences received generous grants from three sponsors: the Nordic Culture Fund, Landsbankinn’s Community Fund and the Goethe-Institut.

The Nordic Culture Fund awarded Sequences with a generous grant. The aim of the Nordic Culture Fund is to support a broad spectrum of cultural cooperation between the Nordic countries. The Fund concerns itself with a wide range of art- and culture related areas, involving both professionals and amateurs. The Fund supports activities characterized by quality, vision, accessibility, and variety, where both traditional and new ways of working can be developed.

Sequences was awarded a generous grant from the Community Fund of the bank Landsbankinn. A festive ceremony was held for the grant recipients, including humanitarian and charitable organizations, education, science and research projects and other culture and arts projects. Landsbankinn’s Community Fund supports worthy social projects. Direct financial support for the community is part of the bank’s policy on corporate social responsibility.

The Goethe-Institut awarded Sequences VI with a grant allowing the festival to present cutting edge art from Germany. The Goethe-Institut, as the cultural institute of the Federal Republic of Germany, brings the multifaceted image of Germany to the world. It provides access to German language, culture and society and promotes international cultural cooperation.
