Moran’s work delves into the subjective approach to the everyday. It’s a search for the point where the clash of opposites creates its own form of coherency, whether it is in the form of visual paradox or thematic antonym. Her recent works engage 16mm film as a medium that embodies both the image and the physicalitiy of an image moving in time and space. But also as a medium whose seductive nature lends beauty to the common place. Her new work is inspired by a familiar symbol; a tedious, yet inescapable part of our daily pursuits in digital times.
