Markús Þór Andrésson appointed curator of Sequences 2013

The Board of the Sequences Real Time Art Festival has appointed Markús Þór Andrésson  curator of the Sequences Real Time Art Festival 2013.

 

Markús Thór Andrésson is an independent curator, writer and director of documentary films and television programs on art. Recent and current projects include The End at the Icelandic Pavilion, Venice Biennial 2009; Without Destination at the Reykjavik Art Museum 2011; Imagine Being Here Now, Momentum – Nordic Biennial for Contemporary Art 2011; Emotional Blackmail at SAAG/KWAG, Canada 2011-12; 1+1=3, a television documentary on the exhibition (I)ndependent People 2012; A While, an experimental film based on the work of artist Hreinn Fridfinnsson 2013. Andrésson is co-founder and director of LoFi Productions, a company dedicated to art film production. He graduated from the Center for Curatorial Studies at Bard College, class of 2007, and is currently based in Reykjavík, Iceland.
